Welterweight GOAT Khabib Nurmagomedov has named the toughest opponent he has faced in the UFC. He also said that he hit like a truck.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is 29-0 and never saw having trouble in the octagon. He almost dominated all of his opponent single-handedly but there is a one fighter who he said gave him the hardest hitting of his lifetime.
Speaking to Mike Tyson’s podcast, Khabib said “This guy (Justin Gaethje) hit like a truck, you know. Nobody hit me harder than Justin Gaethje. His kick, his punch, his left hook, right hook, right uppercut.”
At UFC 264, Khabib fought Gaethje where he submitted Gaethje by triangle choke in round number two.
In that fight we saw Gaethje loading on those leg kicks and putting everything behind his shots. Undoubtedly Gaethje gave him the hardest shots he ever ate inside the fight ring.
With Khabib is out of the game, People would love to see Gaethje taking on Islam Makhachev in an five round war.
It would be more interesting now if they make interim belt fight between Islam Makhachev and Justin Gaethje.
