The Motown Phenom, Former Lightweight title contender has been released from the UFC in an unexpected time.
Kevin Lee, Who was fighting for UFC since 2014 and has competed in 18 incredible bouts for the promotion. But due to undisclosed reason Kevin has been officially released from the UFC.
Kevin Lee had many ups and downs in his career, He even fought Tony Ferguson for the Interim Lightweight Title.
Many fans believe that he is suspended because of his recent drug testing, Where he was tested positive for the use of Adderal. [Read full story] However, that is not the case because many fighter including TJ Dillashav, Chad Mendes, Yair Rodriguez was tested positive but UFC still continued with them.
Kevin Lee’s release news was first reported by the mma fighting, Brett Okamoto has given us further update from Kevin Lee’s management. Marquel Martin manage of Lee said his client Kevin Lee had multiple fights left on his contract, but the UFC elected to terminate the agreement.
The news has left many MMA fans heartbroken, But the thing is we might see Kevin Lee in other promotions like Bellator or Triad or may fight Jake Paul next.
