Randleman was immediately put on antibiotics, and he is now resting at home and is expected to recover fully.

“I’m just glad we caught it early,” Elizabeth said. “It could have been a lot worse.”

Randleman was the latest among many MMA fighters diagnosed with MRSA. In recent years, UFC champions Georges St-Pierre and Cain Velasquez and former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia have all contracted the infection.
