During his school days, He was voted as the Most Valuable Wrestler during his senior season and was selected to the All-St. Louis Team.

On September 30, 2010, at Bellator 31, Chandler defeated Scott Stapp in impressive first round TKO to make his debut successful. Before this fight, he was competing in welterweight, For this one he did it in Lightweight.

Bellator 32 hosted his second fight on card, Where he submitted Chris Page in round number one. Then Chandler joined Bellator’s four fight tournament. In the opening fight, he fought Marcin Held at bellator 36 and choked Marcin to unconsciousness in round number one.

This fight earned him the Lightweight title shot against Eddie Alvarez. But unfortunately Eddie pulled out of this fight citing an injury. So, this fight was rescheduled on November 19, 2011 at Bellator 58. He submitted eddie in round number four to become Bellators lightweight champion.

After this fight he fought Akihiro Gono in non title super fight, Chandler defeated Akhiro by technical knockout at just 56 seconds into the first round.
